COAT were looking for ways to establish themselves as an innovative, data-led brand with an eCommerce experience that stood out in the market. Their biggest challenge was driving their customers further down the funnel to purchase multiple swatches and pots of paints. In order to achieve this, they had to find a better way to help their customers visualise their paints. COAT were instantly impressed with Hullabalook's technology and rolled out the Colour Visualiser tool in January 2021.

They knew they had to find a better way to help their customers visualise their paints to see how they would look in real life. Hullabalook created the Colour Visualiser tool for COAT which was rolled out in January 2021.
Hullbalook’s Colour Visualiser tool – built on Room Creator technology – provides shoppers with a semi-realistic wall setting where they can play around with colour combinations and see the wall colour update in real-time. The Colour Visualiser tool provides a sense of realism, while also being a very easy, engaging application to use.
Hullabalook’s technology takes COAT's paint swatches and converts them for the interactive PLP. The exact HEX code of each colour is analysed and is then projected onto the walls of the room setting.
Shoppers can scroll through the swatches and pick a combination of colours to project onto a specific wall or skirting board. After choosing their favourites, they can add all swatches straight to their basket.
We have also included the option to add select pieces of furniture to the canvas from the Heal's catalogue, to further support visualisation. The Colour Visualiser tool increases shoppers' confidence in their purchases and provides an enjoyable experience, which increases time spent on-site.
